President's Message BWA Sisters,
"It is hard to believe it is Fall! I love decorating my
home with pumpkins and fall leaves although it is still 90 degrees
outside. I do have a large almond tree that will lose its leaves
shortly, so I can pretend winter is coming, can't I?" We
started our BWA year off with great excitement, as our first speaker for
the year, Vice Mayor Barbara Sharief, educated us on the proposed one
cent sales tax increase, and made a generous donation of $5,000.00
to our Scholarship Fund. This was our goal for the entire year,
so we now need to match Barbara's donation so that we can give
$10,000.00 to our deserving recipients. Do not miss our
next meeting, as our speaker is another dynamo, and more information
about our first social get together set for October 25 at the Funky
Budda will be forthcoming. Finally, do not forget to bring
a guest or two who would be suitable candidates for membership.
The Board is offering a great prize package for the individual who
brings in the most new members by the end of 2016! Holly Moody President 2016-2017 Meeting Information Laura Berger and the Radical Sabbatical Laura Berger Successful

this appealing and/or if you might have any contacts at local or
