Is Your Head In The Sand?
How To Get Up To Speed On Money As If Your (Financial) Life Depended On It
You may have heard that 90% of all women will be solely responsible for their own or their family’s finances at some point in their lives.Unfortunately, many people – and especially women – are not prepared financially for divorce, retirement, widowhood, or other life events, and are woefully unequipped to make the important financial decisions impacting their lives.
In today’s complex world, women need to understand how their finances work. The math is simple. Women earn less, save less, and spend more time out of the work force than men. Yet, they tend to live longer. And living longer carries a hefty price tag, leading to over half of women surveyed saying they fear running out of money during their lifetimes.
It doesn’t have to be that way. With a few simple strategies, you can put yourself in control of your finances.
Certified Financial Planner Mari Adam will discuss the key money facts you need to know, and offer strategies for getting, and staying, up to speed on your money matters, including last-minute IRA and savings tips.
Mari has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) for almost thirty years, and is President and Founder of Adam Financial Associates, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm specializing in financial planning and wealth management based in Boca Raton, Florida. Since 1995, the firm has specialized in working with women, couples, and people who want to enjoy a confident, fulfilling retirement, and provides clients with conflict-free and objective advice on a fee-only basis.
