Risks & Rewards of Owning Your Own Business
Many people consider owning their own business. Yet, for many reasons, only a small portion of those people actually step out into an entrepreneurial endeavor. And money is seldom the reason for this reluctance.
Join a discussion about why people take the risk to own a business, the pros and cons of doing so, financing a business and how to find out if you are someone who should do so – and what the success factors can be!
Our February speaker will be Karen Junger. She is President of Affinity Franchise Partners and is a Certified Franchise Broker. She works with people interested in becoming entrepreneurs and with entrepreneurs interested in expanding their business through the franchise model.
Previously, Karen created her own technology firm, growing from a one-person consulting practice to a multi-million-dollar operation with offices in three states. Her clients included Fortune 50 organizations, federal and state government agencies and small to medium-sized law firms. Her team specialized in streamlining standard business operations to increase productivity and create better financial returns.
Recognized by both technology and business associations in three states, her awards included Technology CEO of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year. She was also one of the first thousand Certified Computer Examiners in the world.
Karen currently serves on the PACE Center for Girls Board of Directors and is President-Elect of her Rotary Club. She has also served on the boards for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the Girl Scouts of Broward County.
One of her favorite subjects is business opportunities and how people can take charge of their future by finding out how to take advantage of what’s available to them.
