Meet Inspiration – Our 2020 BWA Foundation Scholarship Recipients

The scholarship committee has selected their 2020 class of scholars. For the 23rd consecutive year, five outstanding area women will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their respective college educations. Each scholar was selected after displaying remarkable academic achievement, extra-curricular participation and community service.

These women are truly inspirational.  They will tell you their story and, in the process, will make you proud of what we do as an organization.

History

The Broward Women’s Alliance Scholarship was created in 1997 to benefit women who need support to advance their professional goals through achieving a higher education degree.  Over the years, that purpose has not changed., but the status of the BWA has.  In 2019, we became a non-profit foundation.
