July Special Meeting

You are invited to a mid-summer BROWARD WOMEN’S ALLIANCE FRIDAY AFTERNOON SPECIAL MEETING, July 15, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riverside Hotel, where there will be complimentary cocktails and appetizers!

PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING

The purpose of this meeting is to reconnect with new and old friends and to plan for the future of BWA. Whether you are a current member or a past member, you are invited and encouraged to attend and contribute your thoughts.

AGENDA

1. Vote on 2022-2023 Slate of Officers

We have a group of women who have agreed to serve on our board. We will vote at this meeting on whether to accept the slate. We must acknowledge that these members, more than ever, will need our support, our participation, and our ideas. Please note that the slate of board officers appears in this newsletter and constitutes a written notice of election.

2. Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Diana Plucienkowski will help set the stage for our discussion with her Treasurer’s Report, which will tell us where we stand financially.

3. Membership, Where We Meet, and Number of Meetings

Our membership numbers determine and limit where we meet and the number of times we meet each year.

4. Discussion

Following the presentation of the information on the agenda, those in attendance will be asked to contribute to a discussion that will result in action items and take-aways from the special meeting.

Come to this meeting and contribute your thoughts, your wisdom, and your suggestions of how BWA will continue in the future while enjoying a drink. Please RSVP no later than Friday, July 8th so we can provide the Riverside with a final head count of how many people will be in attendance.

The Broward Women’s Alliance Scholarship was created in 1997 to benefit women who need support to advance their professional goals through achieving a higher education degree.  Over the years, that purpose has not changed., but the status of the BWA has.  In 2019, we became a non-profit foundation.
