Dear BWA members,
Hard to believe but Spring is upon us! Although it seems like a new year just started, the time to send out the scholarship applications and select a new board is near. This is an exciting time for BWA and I am asking that you please help us in identifying potential new executive board members and scholarship recipients.
The scholarship applications will be on our webpage starting March 10th, 2014! Please help us spread the word.
Ellen Schulman has agreed to be the chair of the nominating
committee. Please let Ellen or anyone on the Executive Committee know
if you are interested in applying for a position on the board. The
eligibility criteria are:
•Member of BWA for at least 2 years
•Has attended at least 75% of BWA meetings prior to membership on Nominating Committee (Source for attendance data: person to whom RSVPs sent)
Network, Network and Network!! Monday, March 10th, 2014 is our monthly lunch. Diane Hatcher has also organized a great after hours event. Please join us for a, behind-the-scenes “Peek Behind the Curtain” tour of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, March 13 at 6 p.m. Price per person is $25 and BWA candidate guests are welcomed!
I look forward to seeing you all.
Best to all,
Catalina M. Avalos
P.S. Did you receive your complimentary “headshot” taken during our January luncheon? If not, and you had one taken, please mention it to Debbi Hartman during registration at our next monthly lunch.
